Our Journey
What began as a vision to create space for authentic cultural exchange has evolved into one of India's most respected literary and arts festivals. From our roots in Mumbai, we've expanded across India with successful editions in Delhi, and crossed oceans to host a landmark chapter at the House of Lords, British Parliament in London. Each edition has strengthened our commitment to bringing together the world's most eminent voices alongside India's most promising emerging talent.
At Lit-O-Fest, we don't just showcase established excellence—we actively create it. In Maharashtra, we've adopted Dahigaon village, where we're actively transforming lives through comprehensive literacy and education programs. Our work includes supporting local schools, establishing libraries, implementing e-learning initiatives, and running confidence-building programs for children from rural and surrounding areas. This isn't charity—it's partnership. We're working hand-in-hand with communities to create sustainable change that will echo across generations.
Our vision extends far beyond one village. We're building a scalable model that we plan to replicate across India, because we believe every child deserves access to education, every voice deserves to be heard, and every community deserves the tools to write its own story.
Championing New Voices
India's literary landscape is rich with untold stories and undiscovered voices. Through our flagship Manuscript Contest, we've made it our mission to find them, nurture them, and bring them to light.
To date, we've successfully launched over 50 debut authors into India's literary ecosystem. Our contest offers something rare and invaluable: a credible, inclusive platform that spans multiple genres and gives young writers not just exposure, but genuine opportunity. The enthusiastic response from youth and emerging voices nationwide has been overwhelming, affirming what we've always known—talent is everywhere, opportunity is not. We're working to change that.
